Measured Rain

So, this is one from my thesis for my master's degree, and I'm finally putting some words to it.  It's a work in progress, so I'll change this pretext when it's really done. :)

liken a shape, falling through the road
where is the silver patter, what's the color's sound

laying on the Lawn and the dew is soaking my jeans
and my glasses are moving deeper
in the rain, a mix of rust and iron will shape the meter

of a moon, so many make their songs
maybe it's me or maybe your shape has too many sides

the Pavement remembers the shape of the sound,
tapping softer when it gets steeper
in the rain, the mist and dust are turning liter by liter

other phrases to work with:

of the moon
rounded room
